Chief Investment Officer

Todd’s role is to identify traditional hedge-fund managers with long and demonstrable track-records of success managing low-correlation, hedged investment strategies to serve as sub-advisors for the SilverPepper Funds. He is also charged with maintaining relationships with existing managers, and monitoring and overseeing the implementation of our hedged strategies in accordance with the rules, regulations, and investor protections of a mutual fund. Prior to SilverPepper, Todd was Chief Investment Officer – Asset Allocation, for Transamerica Asset Management, and lead portfolio manager for Transamerica’s Asset Allocation Variable Insurance Funds. Todd joined Transamerica from Fund Architects, LLC where he was a founding member and Chief Investment Officer. Prior to that, he served for five years as Chief Investment Strategist at Morningstar Associates, LLC and was responsible for harnessing Morningstar’s expertise in individual fund analysis and portfolio construction for the benefit of a diverse array of investors, ranging from individual investors in retirement plans to large, Fortune 100 clients.

Todd earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a Masters in Economics from Harvard University. Todd also holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst.
